Why is it called Masters Certificate in Project Management?
- Because we believe that level and amount of training provided along with the intensity of the course qualifies this program for the Masters Certificate name. In fact it is just a name but it is now recognized across North America. We have now graduated over 6000 students from our program.
Do the hours qualify for the 35 hours required to apply to write the PMI exam?
- Yes - you need 35 hours - this gives you in excess of 120 hours.
Is the exam at the end of the program the PMI exam?
- No - this is our own internal exam - you would have to apply to the PMI (pmi.org) in order to write the PMP Certification exam.
What happens if I fail the exam - do I get my certificate?
- An exam rewrite would be arranged to meet all of the requirements to receive your certificate.
What happens if I miss a class?
- You will have to arrange to attend a makeup class in a subsequent session or in any other city where we are training in North America.
Do you offer terms on the fee?
- This question must be referred to management of the local university.
I want to be on a team with a friend - can you do that?
- No - we do not recommend this. Separate and take back twice as much to your organization afterwards
How much work is required between classes?
- Review, pre-reading for the next module and homework should not exceed 3-5 hours between modules. We DO NOT allow team meetings between classes.
Will I be ready to write the PMI exam after the program?
- Yes - you will have been presented with enough information that will allow you to sit for the exam. We do not offer a guarantee on this one.
Is this geared to any one type of project or industry?
- No - all of our instructors and the exercises and examples they use come from a variety of industries
What are the minimum requirements to attend?
- We would like to see at least 1 year of PM experience OR a recent introductory course. We do strongly recommend that you are current managing a project or a part of a project
Is lunch provided?
Are we required to bring laptops?
- No - until the last class when each team needs at least 1 laptop and 1 printer.
Do I need a university degree in order to qualify?
Is the program credited to any university degree?
Is the program creditable for PMI PDUs?
- Program is designed for those who do not already have their PMP.
Are the instructors academics or real-world practitioners?
- Real-world practitioners.
Does this program qualify for Revenue Canada's Lifelong Learning Plan whereby I could withdraw money from my RRSP to pay for the course?
Does this program qualify for education tax credit?
- Yes, a T2202A will be issued at the end of the tax year for the allowable claim in that year. If your program crosses two calendar years, a T2202A will be issued for each year.
